Immune systems are the buzz of the world right now. I'm sure we have all googled it a time or two.  In the holistic world we have 9 ways to boost our immune systems and they are so easy you'll wonder why you didn't start sooner! 

1. Take a probiotic every day. Probiotics are so important for gut health, and since 70% of our Immune system lives in our gut we better nourish it!  My favorite probiotic is PB Assist by Doterra. 

2. Drink LOTS of water with Lemon. Water flushes the cooties out of our body and we need to be hydrated to make sure all of our organs are working 100%.  Bonus: When you are fully hydrated you will start to lose weight!  Drink at least 1/2 your body weight in ounces every day. 

3. Reduce your Toxic load. Toxins are every where these days. In the air we breath, the food we eat, the things we put on our skin. When we introduce toxins into our body, our body is then so busy trying to detox it barely has any energy left to kick out the germs and bugs.  Start making your own body care products, or find a good company to buy from. DIY your cleaning products too. Essential oils make a great natural alternitive to harsh chemicals. 

4. Quality Sleep. When we sleep our body is in "rest and reset" mode. We digest our food, our thoughts, and help our organs prepare for a new day. If you are not getting quality sleep your immune system could pay the price. Find out why you aren't sleeping well.  Need a new bed? Do you have a new baby or puppy? Are your hormones imbalanced? Too much sugar or caffeine before bed? Turn off technology 30 mins before bed and create a bedroom sanctuary. Diffuser calming essential oils, like lavender, roman chamomile, and wild orange.

5. Essential oils.  Essential oils have been around for centuries. They come from the bark, stem, root or petal of plants, tress and flowers. They are an all natural compound that we can use on a daily basis to help support our immune systems. Essential oils in the spice and herb family are the most popular oils for immune support. You can apply a drop to the bottom of your feet, diffuse throughout the home or apply with fractionated coconut oil to your spine. (Make sure you are using  CPTG essential oils for purity and quality) 

6. Laughter is the best medicine.  Laughter strengthens the immune system and protects your body from stress. Everyday spend time with someone who makes you laugh, watch a funny movie, or read a funny book.  Make it a point to laugh daily. 

7. Eat clean food.  Our bodies were not created for boxed foods, fake foods, or fast foods. We need healthy proteins, vegetables, and fruits from reliable sources to keep a healthy immune system.  Remember when you eat like crap, you feel like crap. Listen to your body it will tell you. 

8. Take hot epson salt baths weekly. These detox baths help draw out toxins, reduce your stress level, and relax your mind. I love using a cup of epson salt, 1c of  baking soda, and 10 drops of lavender in a hot bath each week. Add some crystals, like rose quartz for extra benefit. 

9. Wash your hands! The oldest trick in the book. Use a foaming hand soap with natural ingredients and hot water. I love the On guard Foaming hand wash from Doterra!
